WHAT WE DO
POWER LINES
Over the years, CDC has had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of power line projects, ranging from classic towers to those with reduced environmental impact, from railway portals to telecommunications towers, and even electrical substations, always leveraging the full extent of our expertise.
transmission towers
Simple, double, and quadruple circuit towers for medium and high voltage electricity transmission (132 – 220 – 380 – 400 – 500 kV).
Low-impact transmission towers
This category includes notable designs such as the Vitruvio and Foster towers. The first project, commissioned by Terna, features tension or suspension towers installed on the 380kV Villanova – Gissi line in Italy. These structures simulate the form and performance of a tubular tower. The Vitruvio towers can be supplied with or without covering panels.
The Foster tower, designed in 2003 in response to Terna’s request for an environmentally friendly tower, was designed by and named after architect Foster. These structures are installed on the 380kV Tavernuzze – Santa Barbara line in Tuscany, Italy. The Foster towers combine aesthetics and technology, marking a new era in the electrical sector, by opening the door to design innovation through the experimentation of new methodologies and systems.
railway portals
We can design and manufacture portals and all the necessary metal structures for railways. Among various projects, we have completed works for FS Ferrovie dello Stato, including Italy’s high-speed railway lines, as well as the Line C of the Rome Metro.
telecommunication towers
Towers equipped with ladders, platforms, and support equipment for broadcasting and telecommunications devices.
electrical substations
Electrical substations designed to adjust voltage to suitable levels for the transmission and distribution of energy.
