Our history
Founded in 1984 from the former SAE of Lecco, CDC was established by seven founding partners: Romano Valsecchi, Giuseppe Gilardi, Giovanni Testi, Carlo Garbagnati, Riccardo Zucchi, Giuseppino Albertoni, and Gianfranco Donato. Eleven years later, in 1995, a new partner, Carlo Ferrari, joined the group.
When SAE of Lecco decided to dismantle its engineering, structural details, execution drawings, and CAD-CAM files divisions, some former employees came together to create a new entity that could carry forward its legacy. Thus, on October 1, 1984, CDC Srl was founded, and it immediately began expanding its operations internationally, offering its services worldwide, including to SAE itself.
In its early decades, CDC Srl’s engineers and technicians were divided into three internal departments dedicated to power lines (energy transmission lines), industrial structures, and mechanics and automation. Countless projects were developed worldwide, leading to the rapid growth of the company, which increasingly felt the need to specialize.
This evolution led to the division of the three business branches into separate companies, with CDC focusing on energy transmission lines. The company established new and fruitful collaborations with various Italian and international firms.
Currently, CDC Srl’s staff consists of 10 people who combine experience, skill, and passion for their work.
Our values
The founding values of CDC Srl are the same that once characterized a leading industry like SAE: CDC’s journey started here, relying on people who share experience, skill, and passion for this sector. Thanks to SAE’s prior expertise, we can confidently say that this is now part of the long-standing industrial tradition of Lecco. Direct engagement and working side by side with the most experienced workers over the years have allowed us to absorb not only their know-how and valuable lessons, but also the passion that has always distinguished them.
Today, after 40 years of activity, we can proudly say that, not only are we still present, but we continue to carry on this profession with pride, guiding it in a global energy transmission line market that demands increasing performance, skills, and flexibility.
Synergy and cooperation are the guiding principles for our staff, whose sole final objective is to deliver products of the highest standard, with precision in every detail and maximum punctuality. From meticulous project design to the adoption of technical solutions aimed at making every phase of production, installation, and use more efficient, streamlined, and smooth: every aspect is carefully considered and defined in detail.
